The Body as a Garden

When people are viewed as machines, their healthcare providers become the mechanics.

Mechanics occasionally perform routine maintenance, but they are needed most in emergency repairs situations.

When the body is viewed a dynamic living system, like a garden, and given the appropriate amount of water, light, soil, and nutrients life can flourish.

It’s not the gardener that makes the garden grow, it is nature that does this, with the gardener facilitating the growing conditions.

It’s in the daily practices; movement, lifestyle, emotions, food, and care for ourselves that allow us to flourish.
